Ambrasia Washington
Ambrasia Washington is an up-and-coming model from Atlanta GA. She has been in everything from glamorous photoshoots to music videos. The young model was recently in music videos for two major artists (Lil Uzi Vert and Russ) & she is showing no signs of slowing down. Learn more about her, below:
How did you get your start in modeling?
My friend Lloyd started picking up photography around 2017 and wanted me to be his muse for a test shoot. I’d been interested in modeling since I was younger but never knew how to get started. That specific shoot really helped me get comfortable in front of the camera and find my style and confidence! Follow his photography page @mrg3tright
What are some of the lessons that you’ve learned since entering the industry?
It sounds very cliche but I’ve learned to always be yourself. Someone is going to love the person you are without trying to change anything about you. You may miss a few opportunities by not conforming to what people want, but where there’s a missed opportunity, a bigger one is waiting! Stay true to yourself.
You have a great social media presence. How big of a role do you think social media plays in branding and why?
Social media plays a big role in everything these days. Some modeling agencies have even started including the number of followers their models have on their website. Since face-to-face conversations and experiences are hard to achieve these days, the first impression someone has of you is your social media. I try to keep my Instagram up to date and make sure I’m as authentic as possible. I think your social media should be a small reflection of who you are and what you have to offer.

What does nostalgia mean to you?
When I think of nostalgia, I think of being a young girl sitting at home with my mom eating a bowl of cereal watching the power puff girls. I remember my mom used to play a lot of Michael Jackson and Prince around the house and being a child you take those moments for granted. I think about those times and wish I could go back for a while because everything was so easy and I was worry-free— just being a kid.
