How did you get your start in acting?
My start was in high school’s theatre class— not program… we only had a class lol.
Who are some of your biggest inspirations in the acting realm?
Life. Angela Bassett. Lupita Nyong’o. Halle Berry. Cynthia Erivo. Denzel Washington. Dorothy Dandridge.
What is the hardest aspect of being an actor?
Constantly feeling like you’re not enough. Long periods of unemployment. Sometimes doing work that feels “fake.” Getting a foot in the door. Rejection.
What motivates you to continue pursuing your dream?
Finishing what I started… My first recollection of wanting to be an actor was when I was 11 years old. This has been a dream of mine for over 10 years. I can’t stop now, I have myself + my supporters rooting for me. I also have a responsibility to women who need to see my face on their screens to continue to fight for their dreams.
What are some upcoming projects that you have?
I am working on a passion project that is almost complete. I am also working with my peers to create some entertaining ass cinema.
What does nostalgia mean to you?
Nostalgia means “the good ole days”.... the times that I was having fun in life & didn’t even realize it until I look back. The times that give me a warm, fuzzy feeling when I think about them. The times that I felt free in this world. Times with my family & friends.
