DREAMERS

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a dreamer. When I was younger, I’d daydream for hours, picturing a fantasy world filled with my wildest desires. As I grew, so did my dreams. They became bigger, better, and brighter. My imagination became my strongest attribute, bridging the gap between my reality and my dream world.

Over the last few years, however, reality has grown darker. Our generation is now witnessing horrific atrocities that we previously only read about in history books. We’re not just reading about these terrifying historical events anymore; we’re living them. And that darkness has brought on a terrible feeling: dreams now feel more out of reach than ever before.

One of my favorite quotes comes from a Harry Potter book, where a character says, “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if only one remembers to turn on the light.” In my eyes, dreamers are that light. You can always spot them. They have infectious auras, contagious smiles, and imaginations that run wild. They have an amazing gift for inspiring the world around them.

This issue is a celebration of those who continue to dream despite life’s messiness. It’s easy to get lost in the mundaneness of reality, and it’s hard to escape. But dreamers will always find a way; it’s their destiny.

To the dreamers who submitted to this issue, please continue to dream. Dream BIG. Your minds are beautiful, and I appreciate you letting us peek inside them, even if only for a fleeting moment. To the readers of this issue, start dreaming more. Dream BIG. Let these stories inspire you to get lost in the fantasyland of your mind. You might be surprised by what you discover there.

To all, in times of darkness, please remember to turn on the light.

With Love,
