Hi! We are currently accepting applications to join the Flurry Team. The team will primarily work on Flurry Magazine & Blog. Some of the content we will be producing relates to Art, Music, Fashion, Youth Culture/Pop Culture, Love/Heartbreak, Mental Health + Stigma in Communities of Color, etc.
Flurry is a rising media platform that aims to uplift and highlight BIPOC voices in the creative community. We aim to be a safe space for underrepresented voices, to feel supported and beautiful, angry and sad, + every emotion in between.
OPEN ROLES:
Staff Writers: write a variety of different creative material for flurry zine, website content, and social media channels. some of the topics include love/heartbreak, mental health, pop culture, emotional creative pieces.
Designers (Zine Designers/ Graphic Deisgners): design graphics, illustrations, and collages for staff articles for Instagram + Flurry Zine & Website. Must have Photoshop/Indesign experience
Photographers: shoot content for Flurry Zine and website, pitch and plan different photography concepts. photographers should have a strong knowledge of what the Flurry aesthetic.
Video Editors: shoot BTS content from photo shoots, be skilled in editing for social platforms like IGTV and Tik Tok.
Social Media Directors: work with the team to create and manage our brand image across our social media platforms.
All positions will have a great deal of creative input! We are focused on growing and are open to all ideas.
*Note: All positions are currently unpaid, as we are still a small platform with limited funds. However, the goal of building this team is to not only help build portfolio work, but also to work towards creating monetary value :)
